2025 Season Summary

The season started off slow, but in the end was better than average. It could have been much better since there were several nights where the temperature only dipped to 30 degrees. Strangely enough, the syrup started off dark, then went to golden/amber. Sugar content was good, never spiking to 3% and not tailing off at the end of the season. Since the neighbor wasn’t sugaring this year, I added a few taps for a total of 25. As a result, I was still able to make about 40 lbs of sugar. For the website, we added a new graph comparing the current season to the average season.
