2022 Season Summary

In general, I would say 2022 was an average season for sugaring. With a little over 10 gallons of sap per tap and a little over a quart of syrup, that’s what the old-timers say is “about right”. Grade was very high, which could be because this was the first season, and everything was new and trees never tapped. There’s a lot of data below which summarizes the entire season, all normalized to 1-tap for easy comparison over the years. The season will always span from Feb 15 to April 15.
